Bunzl Irish Merchants Celebrates 50 Years! |
| Bunzl Irish Merchants celebrates 50 years serving the catering industry this year. Irish Merchants Ltd. was founded in 1959 by a Mayo entrepreneur Vivian Kenny. The company was then sold to Autobar Federation in 1987 and later to Charterhouse in 2004. Following this, the company changed its name and began trading as King Ireland. Later bought by Greg Lawless and Dermott Divily in 2006, the company resumed trading as Irish Merchants Ltd. Following an acquisition by Bunzl plc in October 2007, Irish Merchants began trading as Bunzl Irish Merchants. |
